Jus' bday

Last Thursday we went out to celebrate Jus's 20th birthday at Cafe Bella Rosa. It was a pretty informal dinner, with chatting and the consumption of italian dishes. There was Jus, Jonno, Pete, Dom, Bec, Becky, Aileen, Nicole, Shaun and myself. Not much to say really, it was just a night out for some food and conversation. I did take pictures, but like I said, due to my ineptitude, only a couple pictures turned out ok, so my apologies. AFter dinner we just went to MacDonalds to chat the night away.

Now, that night, although I did tease Becky when she asked about World of Warcraft, I realise that perhaps I should've made more of an effort to explain to her what the game is about, since during exam week she did say she was interested to know more about my hobbies, of which one is a voracious appetite for games. I guess I kinda teased her about it because based on past experience, girls aren't really fascinated by these sorts of stuff, so the whole idea about talking games related topics to girls is kind of foreign to me. So instead I talk to women about why they're such terrible drivers, lack any sense of direction and generally have it easy in life. I guess that last sentence make a compelling argument why I shouldn't procreate.

So here it is, a brief explanation of....World of Warcraft. World of Warcraft is a game set in a persistent online fantasy world where thousands of players log on and play/interact with other fellow players, whether real life friends (like Jus, Shaun and Dan, who are also playing it) or random people from different countries. Players create online characters with different classes and do all sorts of fantasy related activities like doing quests, killing monsters, trading goods and services, attacking enemy cities, the list goes on. There are different races and classes you can go, races being humans, or elves, or trolls and orcs, while classes being more like professions, such as being a warrior, priest (healer), mage, druid etc. The races are split into two factions, called Alliance and Horde. Both of course, are mortal enemies of each other.

After reading that previous paragraph, it strikes me how incredibly nerdy the whole affair sounds. However, let me assure you that, like a lot of things, while at first it sounds stupid and childish, when you actually do it its a whole lot of fun. Also, WoW might mean I won't be seeing any of you guys for awhile, so you might be comforted to know I'm not actually dead. I dunno, I just like games I guess, especially the more social, thinking games, and it doesn't help that with the way I am, people seem to like inviting me to all sorts of events and situations where I play even more games, if that were possible. It's also a reason why sometimes I don't seem to reply to msn messages or whatnot, simply because I'm playing a game and thus am unaware that people (puzzlingly so) wish to talk to me.

To summarise, games give jase happy face ok? :)

Anyway, here's a....touching little tale I read recently about love that has an important message behind the story;

I was happy. My girlfriend and me were dating for over a year, and so we decided to get married. My parents helped us in every way, my friends encouraged me, and my girlfriend? She was a dream!

There was only one thing bothering me, quite much indeed, and that was my mother-in-law to be. She was a career woman, smart, but most of all beautiful and sexy, who sometimes flirted me, quite obviously too, and made me feel uncomfortable.

One day, she called me and asked me to come over, to check the invitations. So I went. She was alone, and when I arrived, she whispered to me, that soon I was to be married, and she had feelings and desires for me that she can't overcome. So before I get married and commit my life to her daughter, she wants to make love to me just once..

What could I say? I was in total shock, and couldn't say a word. So, she said, I'll go to the bedroom, and if you are up for it, just come and get me. I just watched her delicious behind as she went up the stairs. I stood there for a moment, and then turned around and went to the front door... I opened it, and stepped out of the house. Her husband was standing outside, and with tears in his eyes, hugged me and said, we are very happy and pleased, you have passed our little test. We couldn't have asked for a better man for our daughter. - Welcome to the family.

Lesson learned:

Always keep your condoms in your car.
